The game consists of a number of themed weeks, each offering a new set of opponents, songs, and challenges. Your opponents may be such memorable characters as Daddy Dearest, Pico, Mommy Mearest, Tankman, and others. Friday Night Funkin' includes different styles of music, including hip hop, funk, electronic beats, and chiptune style.
This game is easy to comprehend but gets increasingly difficult when songs become faster. The game offers fun cartoony graphics, funny characters, and rhythm gameplay that makes each battle enjoyable.
How To Play
The game task is to press the corresponding buttons when musical notes reach the corresponding markers. Arrows slide across the screen, and you should press the corresponding direction at the right time. Correct timing allows keeping your health gauge on the right side and get a better score.
Each song features Boyfriend competing against an opponent. You perform sections of the track in turn, trying to hit the correct beats. Missing notes leads to decreased health. Losing the health gauge results in losing the song.
You can choose one of three difficulty modes: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Start playing easy songs to get familiar with the patterns and then move to the fast tracks. Free Play mode can also be used for practicing individual songs.
